CNN: New data shows US drug epidemic is deadlier than ever, but preventing overdoses is an uphill battle

The latest data from the CDC indicates that drug overdoses has reached another record high of 104,288 people dying in the 12 month period up to September 2021. In September 2015, the death toll was around 52,000. Ways to prevent immediate drug overdose deaths include syringe exchange programs and distribution of naloxone. Read the full CNN article here.
