Climate Crisis Could Cost US Billions More Each Year Due To Frequent Natural Disasters

Weather disasters may become more frequent with climate change, forcing people to move to more vulnerable areas to escape. Although 2022 had an average number of hurricanes, it still contained the third highest number of multi-billion dollar storms since 1980. With the climate crisis, scientists project that costs could increase even more per year due to natural disasters.
