CNN: Cannabis poisonings among older adults have tripled, study finds

Since the legalization of cannabis use in Canada in October 2018, the rates of emergency department hospitalization have increased drastically among older adults. The author of the study of these findings, Dr. Nathan Stall, therefore cautions healthcare professionals from the age-related bias of cannabis and drug use. Stall also states that many, especially older adults, are unaware of the powerful effect that marijuana products (edibles or smoking form).
