Emily Smith

Emily Smith’s past and current community impact includes serving as the Chief Executive Officer of the Fellowship for International Service and Health, performing laboratory research in the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health Department of Epidemiology, shadowing doctors in Tanzania, constructing sustainable water systems in the Dominican Republic, and teaching English in a Honduran orphanage. Currently a Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics major and Geography minor, she will pursue a career in public health after graduating in June 2015.

In her role with EPICenter LA, Smith selects relevant news to feature and share via social media. She also manages social media campaigns and relationships and updates content throughout the site.
