The National Weather Service broadcasts ongoing weather information, including during disasters. These are broadcast alerts, meaning one cannot sign up to receive them individually via a home or mobile phone. The description from the NOAA:

NOAA Weather Radio All Hazards (NWR) is a nationwide network of radio stations broadcasting continuous weather information from the nearest National Weather Service office(link is external). NWR broadcasts official warnings, watches, forecasts and other hazard information 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Working with the Federal Communication Commission(link is external)‘sEmergency Alert System(link is external), NWR is an all hazards radio network, making it your single source for comprehensive weather and emergency information.

In conjunction with emergency managers and other public officials, NWR broadcasts warning and post-event information for all types of hazards including natural events such as earthquakes and avalanches, environmental accidents such as chemical releases or oil spills, and public safety issues such as a child abduction or 911 telephone outage.
