784

Many vaccines require booster shots within years (or even within months) in order to maintain high immunity against diseases. Studies have shown that effectiveness of the vaccine against COVID-19 has been declining as time passes, thus the main COVID-19 vaccines within the U.S.–Pfizer, Moderna, and J&J–are currently seeking approval for a third booster shot in order to stay ahead of the virus and maintain high immunity against COVID-19. This booster shot is recommended to be 8 months apart from your first vaccination, but is currently being studied for 6 months.
