The Guardian: Supreme Court Hears Case on COVID-19 Misinformation Regulation on Social Media

On Monday the Supreme Court heard the Murthy v. Missouri case which argued that White House requests to remove COVID-19 misinformation from social media is a violation of the first amendment. The main arguments in favor of limiting misinformation on the internet weigh the harm of spreading misinformation while the plaintiffs opposing regulation state that limiting posts is in violation of users’ constitutional rights.
