World Health Organization Helps Kenya Fight Against Marburg Virus Disease

Authorities have begun to prepare for an outbreak of Marburg Virus Disease, a fatal illness. The World Health Organization is aiding Kenyan Ministry of Health to help fight against the spread of the fatal disease from Uganda. A national task force, including the CDC and World Health Organization, has been made to help respond to any reported cases. Officials are trying to identify cases of Marburg Virus Disease early on in individuals as to eliminate the threat of spreading this disease. The World Health Organization is aiding Kenya to prepare for an outbreak of the fatal illness by aiding local hospitals, and supplying protective equipment.
