CNN: 7 children dead in virus outbreak at New Jersey facility

According to New Jersey officials, 7 children have died from an adenovirus at the Wanaque Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Haskell, New Jersey. On October 9th, the facility reported a respiratory illness outbreak to the Department of Public Health. By October 24th, 7 children were reported dead from the outbreak. Adenovirus can cause serious complications in those with weakened immune systems and is stable at room temperature for weeks.  To read more about the outbreak, click here.
