USDA: Perdue Foods LLC Recalls Simplysmart Organics Gluten Free Chicken Nugget Products Due to Possible Foreign Matter Contamination

On the 17th of January, Perdue Foods recalled over 65,000 pounds of ‘ready to eat’ chicken nuggets. The FSIS(Food Safety and Inspection Service) is suspicious that this item is contaminated with materials, such as wood. Three consumers filed reports to the company that they found wood in the product after they purchased it. No one has been reported sick because of this, however, this product should be thrown away or returned. If you have additional questions, you can contact the FSIS for further information.
