Chicago Tribune: Aurora mass shooting: Gunman opened fire after being told he was losing job, police say


On Friday, an employee opened fire at a manufacturing plant in Aurora, Chicago after being told he had lost his job. The gunman was identified as Gary Martin age 45 who was in possession of an illegal firearm used to kill five other employees and injure five police officers. Martin was ultimately killed in a shootout with the police. Martin had already been arrested six times for domestic violence and aggravated assault prior to the shooting. To read more about the shooting, click here.
