NPR: A Second Bomb Cyclone: Colorado Predicted To Go From 80 Degrees To A Blizzard

Within the span of 24 hours, the National Weather Service predicts weather near Denver, Colorado to go from 80 degrees to blizzard conditions. Called a “bomb cyclone,” this massive storm leading to vast drops in pressure would be the second in less than a month. Blizzard warnings have been sent out in other states such as Iowa, the Dakotas, and Minnesota. These sudden changes in weather are extremely unusual during this time of year.
