Houston Public Media: Harris County Unveils New 911 Call Center Designed to Weather Natural Disasters

The new and improved 911 call system in Harris County, Houston can withstand a category 4 hurricane as well as high call volumes. The site has three back-up generators and two uninterruptible power supplies.
