Daily News: Two clients contract HIV following procedures at New Mexico spa as DOH warns of risk from ‘Vampire Facial’

A vampire facial is a skin care treatment where the client’s blood is drawn and certain platelets are injected into the face. When done with equipment that has been sanitized correctly, it is safe; there is a list of certified providers of this procedure, but one that was not certified, VIP Spa in New Mexico, has most likely had two clients contract HIV as a result of their injection procedures.
