Experimental Drug For Huntington’s Disease Jams Malfunctioning Gene

Scientists are preparing a major study to find out if a new drug can silence the gene that is responsible for Huntington’s disease. Huntington’s disease, caused by a single mutated gene, is carried by about 30,000 people in the US. This disease is fatal as it causes the progressive break down of nerve cells in the brain.
