CNN: Ebola outbreak in Congo still not a public health emergency of international concern
The World Health Organization has declared that the outbreak of Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo is not an international health emergency. Declaring a state of emergency would require actions such as border control, as well as travel and trade restrictions, which could ultimately provide more harm for the country than help.
