CNN: Warming temperatures put women at risk of giving birth early, study says

A study published in the Nature Climate Change journal found that birth rates increase by 5% on days where temperatures are above 90 degrees Fahrenheit, with an average reduction in gestational length of about 6.1 days. Due to higher temperatures, mothers face a greater risk of pregnancy complications including hypertension and preeclampsia.
