CNBC: Uber’s license to operate in London has been suspended due to concerns of passenger safety

Uber’s largest European market, London, has stripped its license to operate due to passenger safety concerns. Currently, Uber has filed an appeal to this ruling, therefore, allowing Uber drivers and passengers to use the ride sharing service for the time being. Transport of London (TfL), a government transportation authority, had first suspended Uber’s license to operate in 2017 but granted Uber two temporary licenses that allowed Uber to operate for 17 more months. TfL has cited “pattern of failures” related to safety as the reason for the suspension of Uber’s license. For more information click here.
