The coronavirus poses a threat to college campuses across the United States, prompting many schools to quickly formulate preparedness plans and inform students of changes to campus life including alternative online class options. Schools are also imposing travel restrictions, preventing university travel to countries such as China, Italy, and South Korea. Many international conferences held at universities have also been cancelled. Without proactive measures taken, experts warn that college campuses are at a high risk for facilitating the spread of the virus to large masses.
