BBC: Twitter ends Covid misinformation policy under Musk

Twitter has announced that they will stop flagging tweets and suspending twitter accounts for COVID-19 misinformation. Twitter previously had a COVID-19 specific “five-strike” system for accounts spreading”demonstrably false or misleading” content that could potentially “lead to significant risk of harm”. These changes come as a result of Elon Musk’s $44 billion takeover of Twitter last month. The full article can be read here on BBC. For more information on COVID-19 click here.
