ABC News: University of Chicago School of Medicine Conducts Study on Medical Misinformation on Social Media Platforms

A team at the University of Chicago School of Medicine carried out a study on medical misinformation on social media platform TikTok. In a 24 hour period, the team found that about 44% of the content contained medical misinformation about a selected medical condition, showing that misinformation on social media can be an outlet for a large amount of misinformation.
