“Wellness Influences” At Forefront of Spread of Misinformation on Social Media

Misinformation may be fueled by “wellness influencers”, beginning with anti-vaccine information after COVID. After the pandemic, some influencers attempted to remain relevant by spreading climate misinformation to younger followers. The climate misinformation also includes mistrust of authorities with a strong theme of individualism.
