CNN: Biden administration declares fentanyl laced with xylazine ‘an emerging threat’ in the US

FAAX, or fentanyl-adultered or -associated xylazine, has been found to be linked to many opioid-involved deaths throughout 2020 and 2021. Xylazine is an animal tranquilizer, and its effects in humans are intense and dangerous. Combined with fentanyl, the drug can cause serious skin conditions as well as deaths.
