New York Post: Dial-a-doc: NYC plans $100 million public-health call center

Mayor Eric Williams and his administration are preparing to launch the “Public Health Call Center”, which will be open 24/7 and have doctors available to answer questions from citizens and health-care workers about a wide variety of medical issues, including COVID-19. The pandemic brought about the need for a consolidated center for calls about public health, and the center will provide equal opportunity to health knowledge for everyone. Some of the features offered by this call center will be outreach to more vulnerable populations to connect them to accessible health care and consolidation of doctors and other medical providers when offering public health guidance.
