Los Angeles County Community Disaster Resilience (LACCDR) (link is external)
The consortium describes itself:
The LACCDR project is a collaborative effort sponsored by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) that aims to engage community-based organizations in providing leadership and partnership to promote community resilience in the face of public health emergencies such as pandemics and disasters.

Los Angeles County Emergency Preparedness and Response Program (EPRP)(link is external)
The Los Angeles County Emergency Preparedness and Response Program (EPRP) consists of three successive phases:
1) Know Your Neighbors(link is external)
2) Plan Together(link is external)
Formed by a December 2012 executive order by President Obama, the Hurricane Sandy Rebuilding Task Force seeks to provide efficient steps to rebuild cities, businesses and communities after disaster strikes. The task force is not based in Los Angeles, but their efforts provide a model on which to build a recovery plan.
