Teen shot in the arm at Highland High School in Palmdale, California; suspect in custody

The 21st school shooting this year in the US occurred this morning at a Southern California high school, Highland High School in Palmdale. A 14-year-old boy is suspected to have fired shots at another teenager around 7 AM, wounding his arm, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The high school was on lockdown, as well as a nearby elementary school.
