Pele is the goddess of fire in Hawaiian Legend. This week, Tutu Pele has unleashed her wrath on the Big Island of Hawaii, engulfing 37 structures. Today, the 18th volcanic fissure has opened on the island, demonstrating that Pele has no intention on stopping. The respect that Hawaiians have for Pele have caused many Hawaiians to surrender their households and belongings to Pele as her lava flows throughout the island.
