CNN: Ethiopian Airlines crash is second disaster involving Boeing 737 MAX 8 in months

A brand new Boeing 737 Max crashed within minutes of take off, killing all 157 people on board. The Ethiopian Airlines crash was the second incident involving the aircraft in less than six months. After the first incident with Lion Air, Boeing identified the problem to be the new safety feature, the Maneuvering Characteristics Augmentation System (MCAS), that automatically pulls the plane’s nose down if data suggests it is at risk. Faulty data caused pilots to be in a constant tug-of-war with the aircraft, trying to reverse a nosedive. For the full article, click here
