The Los Angeles Times: The flu season is hitting young people particularly hard. And it’s not over

Dr. Jeffrey Gunzenhauser, the Los Angeles County public health department chief medical officer, states that most people hospitalized have been under 45. Influenza B is the most common flu strain this season, the first time in thirty years. 105 people in California have died from the flu this season. Officials recommend that anyone over 6 months of age get the flu shot.
