Facebook-owned WhatsApp is introducing new limits on forwarding messages to slow down the spread of misinformation during the COVID-19 pandemic. Any message that has been forwarded more than 5 times will only be able to be forwarded to a single person or group one at a time. WhatsApp has more than 2 billion users around the world and recently has been a hot spot for spreading medical misinformation related to the coronavirus.
