New York Times: Hoping Llamas Will Become Coronavirus Heroes

Researchers in Belgium believe there is a possibility that llamas have the antibodies to fight off COVID-19. Llamas contain a small antibody that can access small crevices on spike proteins on viruses that human antibodies cannot. Llama antibodies are also easily manipulated and can be fused to human antibodies.
