Experts Say That Monkeypox Deaths Are Rare, But Difficult To Confirm

As monkeypox cases start to decline in the United States, experts say that out of the 25,000 total monkeypox cases so far, deaths are rare. However, it can be difficult to confirm whether a patient dies with monkeypox in their system or if their death was directly caused by monkeypox.
