Not only are these virtual clinics and providers helping ensure access, but they are also proving to be more cost effective than in person abortion clinics, and are deemed safe by the healthcare world. This boom also aligns with the rest of the healthcare sector’s uptick in telehealth services. Unfortunately, because of their prevalence, telehealth abortion clinics are becoming the most recent target of FDA bans and court orders that will stifle their ability to work and provide care.
