Just days after the largest terrorist attack in New York City since 9/11, officials are taking extra precautions for police presence for the New York City Marathon, scheduled for November 5th. To prevent any possible attacks, police have more than doubled their resources in observation teams and counter sniper teams throughout the city. While there will be stationary forces along the running route, there will also be an emphasis on mobile response units, in the hope of reducing response times to a possible disaster.
