NBC: Lava forces mandatory evacuations on Hawaii’s Big Island

A 5.0 magnitude earthquake caused the eruption of the Kilauea volcano on Hawaii’s Big Island. The National Guard was activated as mandatory evacuations were enacted for residents in the Puna district, on the eastern coast of the island.
