CBS News: World Health Organization classifies work “burnout” as an occupational phenomenon

Work burnout is now included in WHO’s International Classification of Diseases Handbook and is classified as having symptoms of exhaustion, difficulty with completing one’s job successfully, and self-doubt. They stated that this type of burnout could result from consistently unmanaged stress from the workplace and is only in an occupational context. Other types of burnout pertain to other aspects of life.
