Johnson and Johnson’s Covid-19 Vaccine is identified to be 85% effective overall in all regions where it was experimented. The vaccine is a non-replicating viral vector vaccine that uses adenovirus 26 (a common cold virus vaccine). This J and J vaccine is especially important because it is the first vaccine that only needs 1 dose, does not need to be stored in deep cold temperatures, and method includes “giving the gene in a virus that can’t reproduce itself,” Dr. Paul Offit, director of the Vaccine Education Center at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, states.
